Job description
We are looking for a Host or Hostess to join our team and be the first point of contact for our guests!
Duties & Responsibilities
- Welcoming guests in a pilot manner
- Providing accurate wait times and monitoring waiting lists
- Managing reservations
- Escort customers to assigned dining areas
- Coordinate with wait staff about available seating options
- Provide menus and announce servers name
- Greet customers upon their departure
- Answering incoming calls and address customers’ queries
- Place Take-Out orders for call in guests
- Maintain a clean organized reception area
- Handling the cash register and assist servers in making change for cash tickets
- Up-sell additional products/promotions when appropriate
- Provide a high level of attention to guest satisfaction and maintain positive relationships with customers
- Actively display knowledge of all food and beverage menu items, including current promotions or specials (You will be taking Take-Out orders)
- Complete opening and closing duties efficiently and safely, using the correct procedures
- Issue bills and accept payment
- Hands-on with POS system
- Collaborate with other restaurant servers, kitchen and sushi chefs
- Complete all assigned daily, weekly and monthly cleaning duties

Qualifications:
- Must be able to work either days, nights, weekends and holidays

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to stand for an extended period of time
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 35 pounds
