Culinary Support Staff

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring.
• Follow recipes and portion guidelines to ensure consistency in food quality.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other food preparation tools.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards.
• Help with catering events as needed, ensuring timely delivery and presentation of food items.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during service hours.
• Participate in regular training on food handling practices and culinary techniques.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling.
• Basic culinary skills with the ability to use kitchen tools effectively.
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a busy kitchen setting.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn new techniques and recipes.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
