Pay Range: $15 an hour
At SusieCakes, we make old-fashioned, sentimental dessert favorites just like you may remember from your childhood! Our bakeries are filled with the delicious tastes and sweet smells of cakes, cupcakes, cookies, pies, and bars- all baked from scratch, on-site daily, using the freshest and finest ingredients. Our signature Celebration Cake is a birthday staple on tens of thousands of tables. Our bakeries mix the nostalgia of the past with the warmth and feel of a modern, neighborhood bakery. Connecting through Celebration is our purpose and what we strive for every day with our team members, our guests, and our community.
We are seeking a part-time Content Creator Intern to help assist our CEO and Founder Susan Sarich with creating content. This role will work closely with Susan herself and the Social Media team to work approximately 10 hours a month. The Content Creator Intern will focus on creating engaging and unique content for the @susiesarich Instagram account.
Candidates should have strong creative and video skills, as well as a knowledge of social media and influencer space and a clear passion for SusieCakes. Candidates should be on the pulse of trends within social and digital and have a genuine passion for social media.
This is a hybrid position. You will be in person to film with Susan and then can edit videos and ideate content creation from home.
Job Description
- Support the social media team in developing Susans Instagram to drive following, engagement, and advocacy.
- Film content for Susans Instagram account
- Participate in brainstorms and content ideation
- Present video concepts, film original video assets, and edit content on different apps (on a mobile device is fine)
- Comfortable directing Susan on camera
Qualifications
- Lives in the Dallas area
- Must have reliable transportation
- Passion for SusieCakes, and strong interest in the social and digital space.
- Significant experience as a Instagram user with a deep understanding of Instagrams ecosystem: trends, hashtags, music usage, functionalities, guidelines, and platform updates
- History of creating content that performed well and drove attention whether for yourself or a brand
- Superior verbal, written, copy editing, and proofreading skills
- Experience on Instagram, with knowledge of what performs well on the platform and what doesn't
- Creative, innovative personality that is always thinking outside of the box.
- Attention to detail, responsible, and reliable
- Proactive go-getter and effective communicator
- Ability to connect weekly with direct supervisor via videoconferencing

Physical Requirements:
- Able to sit for long periods of time to research trends
- Able to use a computer for long periods of time
- Able to make and receive phone calls and respond to emails, chats or text messages
- Able to walk, kneel and reach overhead
- Able to occasionally stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to occasionally lift, move and carry up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to record footage
EDUCATION:
- A high school diploma or GED required
