Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Team Member and Staff Breaker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious meals and snacks for children in a safe and engaging environment. Additionally, after preparing lunch, you will be responsible for helping give our classroom teachers their lunch breaks. You will play a vital role in fostering a positive atmosphere while ensuring that all food safety and hygiene standards are met. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children and possess a passion for early childhood education.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve healthy meals and snacks in accordance with dietary guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food storage.
- Monitor food quality and ensure all safety standards are adhered to during food preparation.
- Engage with children during meal times, promoting healthy eating habits and positive social interactions.
- Support the overall mission of providing a nurturing environment for all children.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with toddler care, infant care, or early childhood education is highly desirable.
- Skills in behavior management and working with students or individuals with disabilities are beneficial.
- Certification in first aid is a plus.
- Food Handlers Permit is REQUIRED.
More Shift Details:
In this position, the staff member starts with preparing and serving lunch. After lunch has been served, the staff member then provides 3 lunch breaks to our preschool teacher, infant teacher, and toddler teacher during nap time. Staff member then takes their own break and finishes off the day by helping cover the infant classroom until close (6 pm).

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
