Requirements of the Registered Nurse (RN):
- Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in this state
- Must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served.
- Must be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of teamwork and team concept.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies or personnel, and the general public.
- Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities
- Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
- Must be able to relate information concerning a resident’s condition
- Must possess basic computer knowledge
- Must successfully complete a post offer, pre-employment criminal background check and physical / drug screen.
Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse (RN):
Lead and manage healthcare units, staff, and residents within the nursing facility.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure the completion of daily operational tasks.
Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
Develop, maintain, and assess individualized resident care plans.
Perform and accurately document patient assessments.
Deliver exceptional care to residents, ensuring their highest quality of life.
Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
Encourage patient autonomy by setting and achieving personalized care goals.
Utilize a multidisciplinary approach to address and resolve resident concerns and needs.
Maintain a safe and hygienic work environment by adhering to established standards.
Protect patient confidentiality and maintain operational integrity by safeguarding sensitive information.
