Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Jr. Associate to join our Software Asset Management team, who will assist in managing and optimizing the company's software assets, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements, and supporting the overall software lifecycle management process. You will be responsible for the strategic management of our software licensing and procurement related projects, including software vendor audits. You will act as a liaison between our procurement and technology departments within Susquehanna, as well as external vendors, in order to evaluate current licensing and forecast future technology needs.
In this role, you will
- Manage all aspects of technology licensing deals including overall compliance for software licensing audits
- Assist in the management of software assets, including tracking and maintaining software licenses, contracts and renewals.
- Analyze and negotiate maintenance renewal contracts
- Establish relationships with vendors and their competitors in order to obtain additional value beyond the exchange of goods and services
- Engage vendors to augment and validate our strategies and approaches as well as to provide insights into future product directions
- Act as the central point of entry for vendors who have large product portfolios that span multiple teams within Susquehanna
- Support the implementation and maintenance of software asset management tools and processes.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and company policies.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather and analyze data related to software usage and needs.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations on software asset management activities and findings.
- Provide support in resolving software licensing issues and discrepancies.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and trends in software asset management.
What we’re looking for
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional experience
- Basic understanding of software licensing and asset management principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. (Excel power user, QlikView experience a plus)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Experience with software asset management tools, within an enterprise technology environment preferred
- Knowledge of ITIL and software asset management best practices preferred
