Maintenance Assistant
SHIFT : Full-Time Evenings 11 : 00AM-7 : 30PM
PAY RATE : $16.00 hourly
BENEFITS :JOB DESCRIPTION :
The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for the routine upkeep of all areas of a facility both inside and outside the building. These responsibilities include but are not limited to troubleshooting HVAC systems, lighting, indoor climate control, emergency cleaning, and upkeep requests. This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Perform general clean-up of all areas of the building as directed
- Manage routine upkeep of exterior areas, green space and parking lot
- Complete non-routine cleaning according to specified job orders
- Remove rubbish and recycling daily and prepare bins for weekly pick-up
- Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests
- Ensure rooms are maintained and fully equipped
- Troubleshoot issues with HVAC system, lighting and indoor climate control as necessary
- Ensure building safety rules are implemented and maintained.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience with mechanical equipment preferred
- Experience with painting is a plus
- Must be flexible, punctual, professional, and reliable
- Strong customer service skills and compassion
