Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Finance to lead our financial operations and strategy. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial services, corporate accounting, and compliance management. Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Manage general ledger reconciliation and ensure accuracy in financial statements.
- Lead the organization accounting team in maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Conduct account analysis and reconciliation to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
- Collaborate with the Board of Commissioners, Township Authority, and senior leadership staff to develop long-term financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Monitor financial performance metrics and prepare reports for stakeholders.
Experience
- Proven experience in financial services, with a strong understanding of municipal accounting principles is preferred.
- Demonstrate expertise in budgeting, general ledger reconciliation, and compliance management.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP standards and best practices in finance.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on account analysis and reconciliation.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively present financial information.
- Must have five (5) years of related work experience which indicates possession of the above list skills. Includes at least two (2) years of supervisory experience. Municipal experience preferred.
- Must have Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business administration.
