Position Summary

Provide customer service by accurately and efficiently processing a variety of customer banking transactions. The teller is responsible for directly representing Susser Bank by serving, assisting, and directly communicating with customers on a daily basis.

In Office ~ Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm


Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide customer services such as cashing checks, receiving deposits, making withdrawals, receiving loan payments, money transfers, online banking, etc.
  • Balance cash drawer daily.
  • Process cashier’s check and debit card requests.
  • Adjust debit card limits and process debit card exceptions reports.
  • Assist in counting money shipments.
  • Wrap and bag coin, verify currency, mix new currency and turn-in mutilated currency.
  • Process various night-drop and mail transactions as needed.
  • Assist with month end teller audits as needed.
  • Perform administrative duties such as filing, answering phones, maintaining supplies, building reports, preparing outgoing mail, etc.
  • Provide professional and courteous service to Susser Bank customers and employees.
  • Understands and agrees to abide by the policies and procedures established by Susser Bank.
  • Performs duties in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Maintains the security and confidentiality of pertinent information and records.
  • Maintains current and up-to-date knowledge and continues professional development through training as applicable.
  • Demonstrates a courteous, pleasant, self-motivated, and dependable behavior. Maintaining a professional environment in both appearance and conduct.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned or directed.

Education and Experience Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent education required.
  • Previous cash handling experience.
  • Previous customer service experience preferred.

Skills and Abilities Required

  • Job Knowledge/Technical Knowledge: Computer (Microsoft Office, Jack Henry Xperience, Silverlake, Synergy, 4Sight, Deluxe, Centrix, Q2 Portal, Sales Force), Copier, Printer, Money Counter, Folding Machine, Postage Machine, Fax Machine.
  • Accuracy, attention to details, organizational skills.
  • Strong customer service skills and good verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical skills, problem solving, good time management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Cooperation/Teamwork and patience in dealing with customers.
