What are the responsibilities and job description for the PT ABE/HSE/ESOL Administrative Assistant position at Sussex County Community College?
Part time, grant funded ABE/HSE Program Assistant: This is a 12 hours per week temporary position. It will require some daytime and some evening hours. Monday through Thursday hours TBD.
Enters, manages and maintains data for all students enrolled in the ESOL Program. Updates and reports data accordingly for the WIOA Title II grant. Maintains and tracks student data using databases/software programs and creates administrative reports. In addition, duties include assisting all ABE/HSE instructors with managing and proctoring student tests,
1. Inputs and maintains student data for students enrolled in the ABE/HSE/ESOL Programs.
2. Manages and maintains online databases, reporting systems, evaluations, and updates individual student records as well as student program goals.
3. Maintains accurate student records and completes state-required forms for grant reports and state monitoring.
4. Tracks and inputs daily, bimonthly, and monthly student attendance hours. Maintains contact with students regarding attendance.
5. Conducts pre- and post-testing using program software (CASAS). Manages online test sessions, proctor student testing, and track post-test requirements.
6. Assists with new student registration
7. Attends all virtual LACES meetings, trainings, workshops and professional development.
8. Maintains program files, forms and handouts.
9. Coordinates payroll hours, meetings, student lists, accounts and testing information with program staff.
10. Performs other job-related duties as requested.

Associate’s Degree or higher

Salary: $17.00 per hour
