The Sussex County Miners, a professional baseball team, are seeking a part-time Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to ensure the safety and well-being of players, staff, and fans during home games and special events at Skylands Stadium. The Sussex County Miners, a professional baseball team, are seeking a part-time Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to ensure the safety and well-being of players, staff, and fans during home games and special events at Skylands Stadium. This is a great opportunity for a skilled EMT to be part of an exciting sports environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide immediate medical care in the event of injuries or medical emergencies during games and events.
- Assess medical situations quickly and accurately to determine appropriate care.
- Coordinate with local emergency services if advanced medical attention or transport is needed.
- Maintain an inventory of medical supplies and equipment, ensuring they are readily available and functional.
- Assist with crowd management and safety measures, addressing any concerns that may arise during events.
- Work collaboratively with stadium staff, including security and operations teams, to maintain a safe environment.
- Document incidents and treatments provided, ensuring compliance with state and organizational protocols.
Qualifications:
- Current New Jersey EMT certification (required).
- CPR and First Aid certification (required).
- At least 1 year of experience as an EMT or in a similar role (preferred).
- Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as dictated by the team’s schedule.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Stand, walk, and move quickly throughout the stadium for extended periods.
- Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
