The Sussex County Miners, a proud member of the Frontier League, are seeking reliable, professional, and safety-conscious individuals to join our Game Day Security Team at Skylands Stadium for the upcoming baseball season. This is a great opportunity to work in a fun, fast-paced environment while ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our fans, players, and staff.
Position: Game Day Security Staff
Location: Skylands Stadium – Augusta, NJ
Schedule: Part-time, seasonal (nights, weekends, holidays required)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a visible and positive security presence throughout the stadium.
- Monitor entry points and check credentials to ensure only authorized individuals access restricted areas.
- Assist with crowd management to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all fans.
- Respond quickly and professionally to any incidents, disturbances, or emergencies.
- Perform routine patrols throughout the stadium, including seating areas, concourses, and parking lots.
- Enforce stadium policies and procedures, including prohibited items and fan conduct guidelines.
- Communicate clearly with other security staff, supervisors, and law enforcement as needed.
- Provide friendly and helpful assistance to guests, answering questions and giving directions.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in security, event staffing, or customer service preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive situations with professionalism.
- Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays throughout the baseball season.
- A valid security license (if applicable) is a plus but not required.
