Job Title: School Based Title I Specialist (Grant Funded)

Requirements:
- Master’s Degree
Preferred:
- Division or state-level experience in Federal Programs administration
Reports to: School Principal
Director of Federal Programs
Essential Duties:
- Responsible for the supervision of the school-based Title I programs. Responsibilities include goal setting, planning, organizing, coordinating, and decision-making and communication.
- Oversee Summer School Academy
- Participates in all meetings, which involve Title I to provide and receive accurate information.
- Conducts periodic reviews of Title I procedures to monitor the implementation of Title I school-wide plan and compliance documentation.
- Provides ongoing technical assistance for development, implementation, and monitoring of the Title I school-wide plan.
- Coordinates school-wide Title I programs.
- Collaborates with other district departments to coordinate and integrate supports and services.
- Attends professional meetings--national, state, and local to keep informed on current developments as they pertain to the Title I program.
- Assists in developing a written plan for implementing and evaluating the school wide Title I program and comprehensive school improvement plan.
- Helps define and interpret goals for the school-wide Title I program.
- Participates in Parent Advisory Council instructional night and activities.
- Performs other related duties as required

Terms of
Employment: 11 -12 months
Evaluation: The performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Sussex County School Board’s policy on Evaluation of Certified Personnel.
