Sussex Development Corporation is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from start to finish. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while upholding our core values of Integrity, Commitment, Collaboration, and Excellence.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee all aspects of assigned commercial construction projects
- Manage budgets, schedules, and subcontractor relationships
- Review contracts, resolve design issues, and track change orders
- Work closely with project engineers and superintendents to coordinate office and field activities
- Ensure compliance with contract documents and industry best practices
- Monitor job costs and proactively address potential overruns
- Maintain strong communication with clients, architects, and project stakeholders
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure quality and adherence to schedules
- Lead project closeout, including final documentation and as-built drawings
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of experience in commercial construction project management
- Degree in Construction Management or Business preferred
- Strong understanding of estimating, project management, and construction techniques
- Ability to interpret and manage contracts, budgets, and schedules
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam/Adobe (CMIC experience a plus)
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
