Job Title: Regulatory Affairs Coordinator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Regulatory Affairs Coordinator to join our team at Sustainable Beef. The Regulatory Affairs Coordinator ensures compliance with all regulatory and internal food safety and quality standards, supporting the production of high-quality, safe beef products. This role manages in-house regulatory updates, internal and third-party food safety auditing, oversees the development of new products, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to maintain operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
· Maintain and oversee compliance with manufacturing, safety, FSQA, Pre-requisite Programs (PRPs), and HACCP policies to ensure food safety and regulatory adherence.
· Organize, maintain, and analyze critical data to uphold product integrity and safety.
· Coordinate and monitor internal FSQA audits, operational reviews, and vendor assessments to verify compliance with internal and external requirements.
· Lead third-party GFSI audits and ensure plant-wide regulatory compliance.
· Evaluate quality assurance data to ensure alignment with company policies and industry standards.
· Develop innovative solutions to address challenges in product development and regulatory compliance.
· Stay up to date with government and industry regulations, providing guidance on policy changes and best practices.
· Manage SKU development and provide technical data support to operations and sales teams.
· Oversee label development and ensure all product labels meet USDA requirements.
· Support sales and marketing with product presentations and technical insights.
· Act as a liaison between the sales team and customers, providing relevant regulatory and technical information.
· Contribute to process improvement initiatives, QA procedure development, document revisions, and operational support for new product launches.
This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with strong regulatory expertise and the ability to collaborate across departments to drive compliance and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biology, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or processing plant is strongly preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience in a production environment preferred. Knowledge of HACCP, USDA, GMP, and SSOPs is highly valued.
• HACCP certification preferred.
• Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and management.
• Ability to foster a collaborative team environment and motivate employees.
• Participate in training programs to improve skills.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. Ability to work with a sense of urgency, multitask, and meet seasonal or deadline-driven peaks. Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to teamwork and leadership.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks in a dynamic work environment.
• Must be able to stand, walk, twist, reach, bend, climb, and lift up to 40 lbs regularly.
