We are seeking an innovative and driven Graphic Designer to join our marketing team. In this role, you will report directly to the Senior Brand Marketing Manager and collaborate with both the marketing and sales departments to create impactful visual designs and campaigns that drive residential and commercial leads. These efforts will directly impact sales and revenue goals. You will also collaborate with other GreenSpark departments to ensure a cohesive company brand identity, while helping increase brand awareness both regionally and beyond.
Essential Job Functions
Brand Identity and Quality Control: Ensure all design elements align with brand guidelines and quality standards before finalizing, ordering, and delivering assets.
- Marketing Collateral Design and Visual Storytelling: Create compelling visual narratives through print and digital materials, including brochures, direct mail, posters, advertisements, email templates, landing pages, social media graphics, infographics, illustrations, and data visualizations to support marketing campaigns and meet company goals.
- Website Design: Design and update the website, including visual elements such as landing pages, banners, icons, and layouts, ensuring a seamless user experience.
- Brand and Product Photography and Videography: Capture and edit images and videos that meet desired objectives, and project delivery requirements, ensuring high-quality results.
- Collaboration with the Marketing Team and Other departments: Work closely with marketing managers, content strategists, associates, and other stakeholders to understand and translate campaign objectives into visual designs.
- Research and Trend Analysis: Stay updated on design trends and incorporate them into marketing materials when appropriate.
- All other responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Director of Communications and Marketing Managers.
Education & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Art, or a related field.
- A portfolio showcasing 3-5 successful marketing campaigns with a variety of visual elements.
- 3-5 years of hands-on, professional graphic design experience (excluding internships), with a focus on digital marketing and content production.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat).
- Experience with photography and videography.
- Proficiency in MAC OS environment.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, web design, CMS systems (WordPress, Elementor, Shopify), and front-end development.
- Familiarity with working on various servers, networks, WebDAV, and FTP sites.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.).
- A thorough understanding of color, composition, typography, and general design principles
- Ability to work efficiently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Desired Qualifications:
- Expertise in conceptual design, typography, motion design, photography, and videography.
- Basic proficiency in Flash, Dreamweaver, and advanced HTML/CSS coding.
- Proven success in leading and delivering results for high-growth businesses.
- Familiarity with HubSpot or other marketing and sales CRMs.
- Experience with project management tools like Asana or similar software.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ties to the Rochester community.
- Demonstrated commitment to social change and sustainability.
- Knowledge of solar energy and renewable energy is a plus.
