What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Designer position at Sustainable Energy Systems, LLC?
The Field Designer will evaluate residential rooftops while obtaining measurements and solar exposure data to create a preliminary computer design.
Responsibilities and Duties to include, but not limited to:
- Traveling to the project location to take measurements and collect information
- Measure and photograph roof dimensions and roof-top obstructions
- Measure and photograph roof rafters and other framing elements
- Maintain thorough documentation of work including photographs and data
- Computer design of the solar system
- Meeting with county inspectors
- Service work
- Follow company vehicle rules and regulations
- Effectively communicate with sales partners
Qualifications and Experience:
- Comfortable working with VICAD, Excel, and Google Drive
- Work safely on roofs for extended periods of time; ascend and descend ladders; be unafraid of heights
- Working with electrical systems (i.e removing covers from electrical panels)
- Entering attics and/or confined spaces
- Valid driver's license
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $34,476.00 - $55,000.00 per year
