Key Responsibilities :
Perform roofing installations, repairs, and maintenance to meet the highest industry standards.
Diagnose and address roof leaks and damage, providing both temporary and permanent solutions.
Conduct water tests to verify the integrity of completed repairs and installations.
Ensure proper setup by collecting and preparing all tools, supplies, and equipment for each job.
Collaborate with team members and clients to ensure satisfaction and project success.
Inspect completed projects, reporting labor and material usage to supervisors.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and safety practices.
Adhere to company and industry safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications :
Proven experience as a roofing installer, with knowledge of various roof types, materials, and methods (e.g., shingles, tile, built-up systems, and waterproof membranes).
Ability to assess the condition of roof systems, identify necessary repairs, and ensure high-quality results.
Proficient in troubleshooting roof installations to locate and resolve water leaks.
Comfortable reading and interpreting technical specifications, schematics, and blueprints.
Ability to calculate materials and labor requirements accurately.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with team members and clients.
Familiarity with UBC, OSHA, and ADA requirements, and a commitment to safe work practices.
Capable of working at heights and on sloped roofs with appropriate safety measures.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements :
Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment, up to 50 lbs.
Comfort with prolonged standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling.
Tolerance for outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
