Qualifications
- A strong work ethic and dependability.
- Graduation from High School or equivalent.
- 10 years of experience in construction or carpentry.
- Knowledge of current practices, materials, tools, and equipment used in the carpentry trade and related building trades.
- Strong plan reading and layout skills.
- Ability to safely lift and carry heavy tools and materials.
- Comfort and agility in working on ladders and roofs.
- Ability to make accurate estimates of materials needed.
- English Speaker: B1-C2 (Intermediate to Advanced) proficiency.
- Valid driver’s license.
Typical Duties
- Serves as lead over a small group of workers and performs the more complex rough and finish carpentry work related to the construction, maintenance, alteration and repair of building components and structures
- Determines most efficient work procedures and techniques for assigned staff to ensure timely completion of projects and makes sure that safety standards and procedures are followed
- Provides supervisor with updates on project status
- On-site duties may also include: Well framing, installation of locks and other hardware, installation of interior & exterior doors, installation of interior & exterior trim work, and installation of cabinets & vanities.
Pay based upon experience.
