Sustainment is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join our Supply Chain Solutions team to focus on building and maintaining world class supply chains for our customers. This role is a perfect opportunity for an early career supply chain professional who is interested in being a part of a fast-paced company that is creating supply chain solutions across a variety of industries. In this role, you will be a part of our strategic sourcing team that provides white glove supply chain services to a variety of customers. This role reports to the Director of Supply Chain Solutions, and works closely with sales, product success, and our manufacturing solutions group.
We are headquartered out of Austin, TX. This role is eligible for hybrid work in Austin, TX, Fort Worth, TX or Oklahoma City, OK. This role may require in office work up to 3 days a week.
What you'll bring :
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business management, mechanical engineering, or related field
- In lieu of degree : 4 years of experience in sourcing or direct materials sourcing or procurement for the aerospace, defense or automotive industry
- Knowledge of standard supply chain processes such as RFQs and PO's
- Ability to problem solve and make decisions on your own
- Desire to create and own complex workflows and tasks
- Passion for learning new technologies and drive to use technology to continuously improve workflows
- Comfort working across unique products in different industries
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Passionate self-starter with the highest integrity and ethics
- Ability to travel up to 40% required
