Requirements :
M.S. or higher in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with at least 6 years of industrial experience OR Ph.D in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with at least 4 years of industrial experience.
Desired Technical Skills :
- Strong hands-on experience with lab, and bench equipment design, construction, operations, and data analysis
- Strong hands-on experience in pilot testing of CO2 capture and chemical processes, pilot plant operations, and data analysis
- Strong technical background in CO2 capture from flue gas and industrial streams
- Proficiency in process control programs including Rockwell, LabView, and / or TwinCAT is highly desired
- Strong aptitude for chemical process design, developing process flow diagrams (PFD) and process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and equipment sizing
- Experience in bench-scale and pilot-scale operations, developing standard operating procedures (SOPs), developing design of experiments
- Experience in analytical instruments such as GC, GC-MS, FTIR, Ion Chromatography, NMR etc. for analyzing liquid, solids, and gas samples
- Good understanding of catalytic and / or thermochemical approaches for the utilization of CO2 to convert into chemicals
- Basic understanding of cost estimation for chemical plants and processes and techno-economic analysis
- Experience in using ASPEN / HySYS package, COMSOL highly desired
