Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment within your tractor, trailer, and shipping area.
- Ensure all necessary documents and GPS equipment are readily available in the vehicle at all times.
- Perform customer deliveries, returns, pick-ups, vendor drop-offs, sample deliveries, and relocate trailers as directed by the Shipping Manager.
- Conduct daily safety checks on tractors and trailers, reporting any findings or issues to the Shipping Manager.
- Verify accurate documentation for all shipments, both incoming and outgoing.
- Participate in quality control measures during loading and offloading processes.
- Document delivered conditions with photographs, as needed.
- Communicate delays or changes in medical conditions promptly to the Shipping Manager.
Requirements
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills; high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Meets DOT and insurance requirements; 2 years commercial driving experience essential.
- Clean driving record; general knowledge of manufacturing processes and machinery.
- Able to lift up to 30 pounds; effective communication skills in English.
