Organization: CPMC-California Pacific Med Center Van Ness Position Overview: Works interdependently with physician's oversight in the technical management of implanted cardiac pacemaker and implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) devices. Provides quality care to patients undergoing invasive Electrophysiology (EP) procedures and related surgical procedures and to assist the electrophysiologist during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Manages device patients and their care and implements treatment plans at a highly developed skill level in collaboration with physicians and other members of the health care team. Able to perform adjustments to programming per order, and is able to troubleshoot basic, intermediate and advanced device issues. Participates in on-going technical training on advanced mapping techniques and may train and orient newly hired EP personnel to master non-nursing technical skills of EP. Job Description: EDUCATION Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
