Organization: NCH-Novato Community Hospital Position Overview: Plans, directs and coordinates the activities of the nutrition and food services to provide dietetic services to patients, employees and guests. Establishes policies and procedures to provide administrative direction for patient menu, food preparation, distribution and services, budgeting, purchasing, sanitation standards, safety practices, staffing and staff development. Pulls in system resources proactively to assist with evaluation of, action planning around and follow up on any actions needing to occur to meet all regulatory requirements. Job Description: EDUCATION: Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma. Bachelor's: Nutritional, Dietetics, Food Service Management or related field or equivalent education/experience Other: Must meet the educational requirements to be a qualified dietetic supervisor as defined by Title 22 CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE: Certified Dietary Manager - CDM Upon Hire SS-Serve Save Certified Upon Hire TYPICAL EXPERIENCE: 5 years of recent relevant experience. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: General knowledge of food production and therapeutic diets. Intermediate level of knowledge of all joint commission, title 22/state, federal, and local regulations affecting dietary services. Demonstrates a customer service focus in all decisions and actions. Ability to use essential software and applications associated with the role’s duties and responsibilities. Verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrates organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects while delivering quality service/achieving business results. Ability to handle difficult circumstances and make sound business decisions with little direction. Demonstrated leadership skills, including team building, and coaching/mentoring with the ability to motivate and engage others. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled.
