Summary:
Responsible for supporting the Payments Team in a comprehensive data management capacity by supporting the daily reconciliation of partner files. The specialist works with all Sutton teams to gather data issues and concerns that require research and resolution, ensuring data quality.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in computer or data/tech related discipline.
Experience: Experience with data analysis including report and dashboard creation using SQL Queries, Tableau and Excel. Experience with database technologies such as mySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, etc. Experience with relational and non-relational data base platforms. Experience/Certification in big data technologies. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Essential Functions:
A: Job Specific:
- Performs daily data lineage validation.
- Resolves data variances across file types.
- Researches to identify anomalies, inconsistencies and errors within the database.
- Assists Database Developers in resolving identified data issues.
- Participates in user acceptance testing activities.
- Performs data collection, analysis and reporting and ensures continuous process improvement.
- Communicates findings and results to leadership and project partners as required.
- Assists in data requirements, setup, maintenance, testing, and validation for Sutton Bank's database.
- Supports mapping and alerting processes as needed.
- Works with internal stakeholder departments to ensure that data file issues are handled timely.
- Works with internal stakeholder departments to fulfill Business Analyst project requests.
- Completes data related tickets assigned by IT Help Desk.
- Works in cross-functional teams to support business needs or special projects as necessary.
- Establishes KPIs to measure the data quality tolerances.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- The ability to communicate effectively and clearly, both in verbal and written communications.
- Strong knowledge of the Payments Industry and/or card processing.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to analyze and solve complex problems, develop automated systems.

- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work effectively, both independently and in team settings, to include close collaboration with Processors.
