Summary:
Responsible for providing administrative support to the Investment Advisor, as well as, consulting with clients to create saving strategies that address asset allocation, retirement planning, estate considerations, insurance coverage and education funding in an effort to increase wealth and preserve capital.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree with a major in Finance, Business or Accounting.
Licenses/Certifications: Valid Ohio Driver's License. Series 7, 63/66, 65/66. Life and Health Insurance licenses, preferred.
Experience: Three years of related experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Essential Functions:
A: Job Specific:
- Meets with both potential and existing clients. Develops strategies to achieve the goals of the client, implementing strategies to achieve agreed upon goals to include, but not be limited to: protection, taxes, investments, cash and liabilities, as they related to the financial goals of the client.
- Documents a written plan to track sales progress against quarterly goals.
- Generates leads through various methods, including prospecting within the financial institution, branch trainings, natural market, referrals, local seminars, advertising, networking groups and web-based venues.
- Maintains relationships with clients to track the progress versus goal, reallocating resources or investments when appropriate to continue the financial success of the client.
- Provides administrative and marketing support to the Financial Advisor.
- Describes investment objectives and/or risk factors to clients; making recommendations to buy or sell securities.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- The ability to communicate effectively and clearly, both in verbal and written communications, as well as, present information to groups of managers, employees, customers, and the general public.

- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical reference, fundamentals of finance, economics and accounting. Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations.

Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limed standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to read, analyze and comprehend journals, audit reports, regulations and legal documents.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from employees, customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
