Position Overview

This role will play a crucial part in maximizing purchasing efficiencies and revenue opportunities, as well as maintaining accurate retail pricing for pharmaceuticals, parasiticides, and other products.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze purchasing and revenue activity by location to ensure alignment with corporate pricing policies and maximize opportunities for corporate discounts and rebate programs.
- Proactively identify discrepancies in pricing and cost data, determine root causes and implement solutions.
- Monitor and maintain proper markups and purchase costs for pharmaceutical, parasiticides, and retail products sold at each location.
- Act as a resource for location managers to ensure consistent and competitive pricing strategies.
- Manage the pricing catalog for the company’s online pharmacy sales, ensuring alignment with manufacturer discount and rebate programs.
- Leverage data analytics to identify pricing trends and opportunities for cost savings.
- Collaborate with procurement, finance, and operations teams to enhance pricing strategies and improve cost efficiencies.
- Maintain accurate records of supplier agreements, pricing structures, and rebate programs.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership on cost containment and revenue optimization strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in pricing analysis, cost management, procurement, or a related field.
- Experience in veterinary healthcare or a multi-location human healthcare business is a plus.
- Capable of handling and reconciling large data sets, identifying inconsistencies, and ensuring data integrity
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required and other data analysis tools such as Power Query is preferred.
- Experience leveraging AI tools a plus.
- Knowledge of the VetCove buying platform and VetCove At Home online pharmacy platform is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally across IT, operations, purchasing, and accounting teams in a multi-location environment.
