The Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for Fiscal Specialist.
A highly responsible administrative position which involves performing all SCSO payroll functions and fiscal responsibilities while ensuring compliance with state and federal reporting requirements. Work is performed under the direct supervision of the Finance Director. Performs various clerical payroll and analytical accounting duties associated with processing bi-weekly payrolls, including entering hours worked, taxes, and scheduled deduction data into a payroll system database, verifying accuracy of figures and computations and balancing and reconciling accounts; computes and posts wages, reconciles errors, and maintains records. Will also assist with grants, A/P and other fiscal responsibilities. This position frequently requires working within strict deadlines, with a great deal of multi-tasking, under stressful conditions and with a variety of personalities.
Qualifications:
· Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D.
· Three years of office experience required
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in processing payroll
· Pass a full criminal background check
· Pass a drug screening
