Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. The LPN/RN will provide essential patient care in various settings, including urgent care and hospital environments, ensuring that patients receive high-quality medical attention. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology and be skilled in medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians.
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
• Assist with the assessment of patients' health status by taking vital signs and recording medical histories.
• Provide support to patients during their stay, ensuring comfort and addressing any concerns.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Educate patients and their families about health management, medication usage, and treatment plans.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance nursing skills.

Skills

• Proficient in medical terminology relevant to patient care settings.
• Strong knowledge of urgent care practices and procedures.
• Ability to administer medications safely and effectively.
• Experience working in a Level I Trauma Center or similar high-acuity environment is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining patient records.
• Compassionate approach towards patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Job Types: Part-time, Per diem

Pay: $32.00 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 40 per week
