Lead Teacher
Work Schedule: M-F, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm, 10 month position
Salary: $15.99 to $21.34 /hour
Sign-on Incentive: $1,000.00

Basic Function:
Responsible for overall classroom operations including: planning, carrying out activities, maintaining the classroom environment and ratios, supervising children, home visits, parent/teacher conferences and supervision of classroom volunteers
Qualifications:
- Minimum Associate or Bachelor degree in early childhood education or child development AND three (3) years of classroom experience working with young children required (preschool age preferred);
OR
- Minimum of an Associate or Bachelor degree in a related field and coursework equivalent to a major relating to early childhood education with experience teaching preschool-age children
- Child care training (Parts I & II – 40 hours) requirement pursuant to Chapter 65C-22
- 5 Hour VPK Emergent Literacy Course as required by DCF
- Must pass physical and Department of Children and Families background screening requirements
- Must have current First-Aid/Pediatric CPR certification
- Safe Sleep/Shaken Baby Syndrome training required by DCF to complete at Orientation/within 30 days of hire
- Must have access to dependable transportation with current liability insurance and a valid driver’s license
