Job Description
The Mill Operator Level II reports directly to the Production Manager and is responsible for operating a front-end loader in conjunction with daily mixing operations as well as conducting daily/weekly inventory. The Mill Operator Level II requires an extremely focused and attention to details type personality. Medium computer/tablet skills are required as well as basic math in order to complete daily duties. MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE TO APPLY
Principal Duties of Position
Daily (Mill Operator Level II)
· Unlock and Power on Mill Equipment
· Clean out Elevator Pit if needed prior to mixing
· Complete thorough pre-operations check on Loader before use
· Ensure that all batches are mixed to the formula’s listed on the batch sheet
· Ensure that all Standard Operating Procedures are followed
· Record all batch data electronically on handheld tablet
· Ensure that equipment is in proper working condition
· Compete electronic work orders for tasks completed
· Complete end of day elevator magnet cleanout
· Clean out loader cab and remove buildup around chassis
· Complete cleanup of assigned area of the Mill
· Power down mill for the evening at the end of shift.
Daily (Mill Operator Level I)
· Complete thorough pre-operations check on forklift before use
· Ensure all ingredient bins are full for mixing throughout the day
· Setup inbound commodities to unload
· Load trucks with finished products
· Unload ingredient deliveries with forklift
· Track medicated bag usage
· Clean dust and buildup around mill throughout shift
· Assist customers with filling their containers and/or getting bags
· Complete electronic work orders for tasks completed
· Complete a thorough cleaning of the mill at the end of the shift
Quarterly
· Responsible for Quarterly cleaning of Mixer and Mixer Ribbons
Qualifications and Skills
Physical Requirements
· Must be able to climb in and out of Front-End Loader
· Must be able to pick up and put down 55lb bags of product
· Must be able to stand for long periods of time, up to entire shift
· Must be able to enter confined spaces for cleaning
· Must be able to work with a dust mask on for entire shift
· Must be able to work in a dusty environment
· Must be able to use a shovel and broom
· Must be able to perform all duties in an outdoor environment
· Must be able to work in inclement weather
Operational Requirements
· Must wear a hardhat and safety vest during entire shift
· Must maintain and operate a handheld radio for entire shift
· Must follow all OSHA and Company safety policies
Cell Phone Use: NOT PERMITTED AT ANY TIME. Employees are not allowed to have in their possession any type of cellular device while on their shift. The use of cellular phones is only permitted while on breaks and at designated areas of the facility.
Salary: Commensurate with experience

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Rotating weekends
