Seeking candidates for Lead Project Program Portfolio Management position with our financial services client in New York City.
This is an on-site 6-month contract opportunity with a target hourly compensation in the range of $60-$70 an hour
Responsibilities :
- Provide project and program management support for clients Infrastructure domain, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the ongoing project portfolio.
- The role is going to sit within the Program office that supports client IT leadership with end user impacting projects and will be responsible in managing the project delivery, status, risk and mitigation and Metrics across the projects / program.
- Portfolio managers, meanwhile, are managing multiple programs within an organization, ensuring that all of them are working towards fulfilling strategic objectives.
- Responsible for the review of project plans for accuracy and manageability
- Overall responsibility for project portfolio management including strategic planning, forecasting, project prioritization, resource allocation, and budgeting
- Analyzes capacity and resource allocation to ensure effective and efficient delivery of services and collaborates with management and peers to establish policies, procedures, standards, methodologies and guidelines for information technology projects and services.
- Requirements :
- The ideal candidate will be delivery-focused, ensuring seamless execution of multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining accountability for outcomes.
- Key responsibilities include developing business and technology-facing materials to align stakeholders, preparing insightful reports, and tracking KPIs to measure project success.
- Proficiency in Power BI for data visualization and reporting will be advantageous.
- The role requires ownership of end-user projects, driving progress from initiation to completion, and delivering impactful results.
- Strong organizational skills, coupled with the ability to effectively communicate and manage competing priorities, are essential.
- Bachelors Degree required.
- 3 plus years experience in similar role.
