Job Summary :
Suzuki Marine USA (SMA) is seeking a Warranty Claims Specialist / Analyst to oversee the processing and payment of warranty, recall, and related claims, ensuring prompt payments to dealers while recovering warranty-related expenses from responsible suppliers. The role also includes the implementation and maintenance of warranty systems, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards, federal, and state regulations. This position requires close coordination with dealers, the Quality Assurance (QA) team, the IT department, and the Parts Department to optimize warranty claim processes and resolve related issues. Regular reporting, audit functions, and involvement in safety recall campaigns are key aspects of the role.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage the processing and payment of warranty, recall, and related claims.
- Ensure timely payments to dealers and cost recovery from responsible suppliers.
- Reduce errors, fraud, and excessive expenses in warranty claim processing.
- Generate reports on key warranty-related metrics for both Suzuki Motor Corporation (SMC) and SMA management on a weekly / monthly basis.
- Conduct warranty audits to ensure dealer compliance with policies and procedures, providing retraining and guidance based on findings.
- Assist dealers with warranty claim processing and resolve any submission errors.
- File warranty claims on behalf of dealers for TSM-approved major assembly repairs.
- Respond to dealer requests for labor rate changes and provide guidance to Dealer Development regarding dealer compensation.
- Collaborate with the QA team to process warranty recalls and approve or deny claims based on investigations.
- Work with the IT department to maintain and improve warranty claim submission systems.
- Coordinate with the Parts Department to ensure adequate recall and campaign parts supply, forecasting future needs.
- Establish and manage safety recall and customer satisfaction campaigns, providing regular progress reports.
- Stay current with state and federal regulations related to warranty policies, special compensation programs, and compliance requirements.
- Develop and publish materials to ensure Suzuki's compliance with warranty-related state and federal legislation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
