Summary
As an Early Childhood Educator at Suzy's Little Peanuts Day School, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experiences of our young learners. We are located in a vibrant community, and this position is essential in fostering a love for learning and ensuring the developmental needs of each child are met.
In June 2025, we will be relocating our Brookline site to Brattleboro, VT. You can train in Brookline before making the move with us to the vibrant town of Brattleboro, where all your needs will be conveniently located just outside your workplace.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive and social development.
- Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively while promoting positive interactions among children.
- Conduct regular assessments to monitor children's progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's development and classroom activities.
- Collaborate with other educators to enhance the overall learning experience for children.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with early childhood education best practices.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as licensing requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
- Experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting.
- Strong understanding of early childhood development principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with children and parents.
- Proficient in behavior management techniques to support children's social-emotional growth.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods is a plus but not required.
