SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The Regulatory Compliance Specialist will be primarily responsible for the development, implementation, and ongoing management of SV Labs regulatory programs. This role will collaborate with management across each functional line of service to ensure company compliance across local, state and federal regulations.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
- Oversee claim substantiation in accordance with customer needs (Vegan, animal cruelty free, etc.)
- Ensure company compliance to local, state and federal compliance requirements (prop 65, haz com)
- Organize regulatory documentation to allow for easy retrieval
- Provide regulatory documentation across departments when requested
- Completes and approves formula focus based on customer claims, provides necessary data (% natural, % organic)
- Confirm alternative material suppliers meet company and customer compliance requirements
- Reviews chemicals during development design for customer compliance requirements
- Assists in chemical review for proper storage, handling and disposal
- Provide counsel on domestic/international compliance requirements
- Create and maintain compliance program policies and associated documentation requisite to administer program to meet and exceed all relevant compliance obligations
- Stay current and understand compliance trends and obligations within the FDA , USDA , State and local regulators to identify existing and future compliance requirements
- Confirm that all new packaging and labeling is compliant prior to printing and distribution
- Investigate and resolve compliance related concerns, issues or violations; collaborate with management to compile protocol revisions to avoid recurring issues in the future.
- Develop strong working relationships across functions internally
- Perform other compliance-related activities as assigned.

AUTHORITY
This position reports to the Director of Quality & Regulatory Compliance.
CLASSIFICATION
This is a full-time exempt role.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree
- Master’s degree or regulatory certificate a strong plus
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Working knowledge of cGMP, FDA, ISO regulations
- 3 years’ experience in regulatory compliance or compliance related role
- 1 year in manufacturing or personal care field preferred
Salary : $80,000 - $85,000
