Responsibilities:
- Release processes in order to meet on-time delivery commitments to customer
- Write detailed processes from SV assembly drawings for new products
- Review DCNs and identify impact to processes & tooling. Change process & tooling as required
- Update changes to process as requested by production, planning, quality and other supporting depts. Assure requests do not violate customer spec., SOP and SV and/or customer quality requirements
- Design and develop safe assembly tools & drawings from SV assembly drawings
- Select proper standard assembly-times in order to keeps costs in line
- Review and edit current processes and improve by providing clear detailed instructions
- Increase efficiencies and quality with improved methods and tools/fixtures
- Resolve assembly and tooling related issues on production floor
- Work with engineering to improve designs where necessary
- Pursue avenues of increased productivity
- Use production variances (labor) to identify problem parts and implement corrective actions
- Create visual aids as necessary
- Train operators as necessary
- Support our offshore manufacturing. Develop “manuals” which include required assets BOM all piece part and tool drawings, SOPs, SIPs, MDs, detailed instructions including visual aids
- Read & interpret product drawings
- Tool/fixture design or Mechanical Engineering background
- Production of small devices
- Ability to use measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
