Description
The Receiver at the San Vicente Clubs is responsible for managing all receiving and storing of all food, beverage, and supply deliveries to ensure inventory accuracy, proper storage, and a smooth operation within the club. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with the kitchen, bar, and management teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving Deliveries:
- Inspect, verify, and record all incoming deliveries (food, beverages, and supplies) against purchase orders or invoices.
- Ensure that all items are in good condition, meet the club’s quality standards, and comply with health and safety regulations.
- Report any discrepancies, damaged goods, or shortages to the appropriate department and suppliers. - Inventory Management:
- Accurately record and update inventory levels upon receipt of goods.
- Ensure proper storage of items in accordance with safety and sanitation standards (i.e., refrigeration, dry storage, etc.).
- Rotate stock to minimize waste and ensure that older items are used first. - Communication:
- Coordinate with kitchen, bar, and management teams to ensure the timely and efficient distribution of items to their respective areas.
- Maintain clear communication with suppliers to address issues related to deliveries, quality, or discrepancies. - Organization and Maintenance:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Ensure that all supplies are properly labeled and stored in the correct locations. - Documentation:
- Complete all necessary documentation for incoming goods, including recording invoices, delivery receipts, and inventory logs.
- Assist in regular inventory counts and audits to ensure accurate stock levels. - Ad hoc tasks:
- Assist in special events or high-demand periods, ensuring the availability of necessary supplies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a receiving or inventory management role, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items as required.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and health regulations.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Basic math skills for inventory and order tracking.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
