Overview
The Maintenance Technician (Tenant Services Technician) will have responsibilities for the maintenance and repair of commercial and residential (apartment) buildings which may consist of multiple buildings or a single structure. Reporting to their Tenant Services Manager, the Tenant Services Technician will work with a commitment to maintaining an attractive, clean, well-maintained property and the mechanical/electrical systems which are a part of the buildings.
The Tenant Services Technician will demonstrate professionalism. They will also provide excellent customer service to tenants thus encouraging long-term retention and valuable tenant relationships.
Responsibilities
- Maintain all properties in a professional manner and inspect the property and its grounds proactively looking for problems and solving them in a timely fashion
- Perform repairs on building equipment and fixtures as they arise
- Respond to tenant complaints/service tickets in a professional and timely manner
- Work collaboratively with the Tenant Services Manager to successfully complete rental unit/suite turnovers
- Make repairs and perform preventative maintenance to company, industry standards, and to building codes – seek the help of the Tenant Services Manager, or Property Manager– contact them before contacting vendors for the non-routine repair or replacement issues
- Work orders, preventive maintenance, and Unit/Suite turnovers, are all to be done within company policy timeframes while showing great customer service
- Travel between properties safely, using a vehicle in a way that does not put yourself or others in danger
- Embrace the company’s use of technology by optimizing the use of Rent Manager
- Support SVN Imperial Realty’s efforts to heighten the technical expertise of its staff
Qualifications
Performance Metrics
- Property inspection results will consistently show well-maintained buildings and grounds
- Service ticket resolutions will meet the expectations of the Tenant Services Manager
- Properties/Tenants will not experience an abundance of service calls due to neglect
- Tenant satisfaction surveys will yield consistently positive results
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma / GED – technical training certifications a plus
- One year of property maintenance responsibilities, or similar experience
- Requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel (between properties)
Working Conditions:
- Ability to work periodic flexible hours is required.
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders, take elevators, bend, squat, reach overhead, and meet standard mobility and lifting for tasks typically associated with property maintenance
- Ability to manage time effectively with little supervision and be able to complete assigned tasks both safely and correctly
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
