Being on call means you can go home and continue about your after work plans, however, you must be in a position where you can answer a phone and be available to fix a situation if it occurs. Some nights there are no calls, and you will still be paid, some nights, there are several. On call compensation is included in the salary advertised but will be paid out as a flat fee based off your nights assigned. On call holidays are required and shared amongst 3 schedulers.
Should you apply for this position?
While this position is advertised as an office position, working as a scheduler takes a special kind of mind. The ideal candidate, we feel, does not need previous experience (despite this being helpful!), however, must be able to multitask, operate at a high pace, have the ability to take on constructive feedback and understand that it is the best way to set YOU up for success and be able to handle phone calls that may feel difficult. Furthermore, the ideal candidate must be able to work within a team of 2 other schedulers with the ability to communicate professionally, allowing an easy flow and understanding that teamwork is the way to be successful. If you work better independently, you are likely not the best fit for this position.
Salary : $18 - $24
