Job Summary: The Senior Counsel, Mergers & Acquisitions provides legal leadership to support the company’s high-volume acquisition strategy within the veterinary sector. As a key advisor to the Executive Leadership team, this role ensures alignment between transactions and the broader organizational mission to expand access to high-quality veterinary care. This position leads legal and regulatory guidance across the mergers and acquisitions lifecycle, driving risk mitigation, regulatory compliance, and seamless post-acquisition integration.
Travel required: Less than 50%

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active licensure to practice law in any state; must comply with local requirements to practice as in-house counsel if licensed in a different jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant M&A experience, including transaction structuring, due diligence, and negotiation.
- In-house legal experience in a corporate environment or law firm specializing in M&A is preferred.
- Familiarity with the veterinary or healthcare industry, including regulatory and operational considerations is preferred.
