Code Ninjas is the nation’s fastest growing kids coding center. In our center, kids ages 5 and up learn to code in a fun, non-intimidating way – by playing and building video games they love. Kids have a blast and can’t wait to come back. Parents are thrilled as their children gain confidence and new skills including coding, math, logic, and problem-solving, as they progress from white to black belt. We are now hiring for temporary part-time Summer Staff as STEM coordinators to join our team from June to August! Each day you will be responsible for helping to get the center ready for the day, working with kids ages 5 and up and leading them through various STEM activities during our summer camp season. Assist our Code Senseis in running the camp and doing various robotics and stem activities during breaks.
Responsibilities include:
Create a positive and safe environment in which students can grow
Implementing goals for campers using the provided curriculum and ensuring that they complete their projects throughout the week.
Following all policies and procedures
Being a role model for your campers, and arriving every day with an inclusive, professional, upbeat, and positive attitude
Follow opening/closing duties daily
Clean dojo throughout the day to ensure cleanliness is kept up to corporate standards
Report daily to Assistant Center Director with respect to day’s activities and productivity in dojo
Qualifications:
- College students with STEM focus.
- Enthusiastic about STEM education and working with children.
- Any previous experience with Roblox game development, Scratch coding, Minecraft is a plus.
- Preferably some level of experience engaging children in school or camps.
- Available to work flexible work hours - We operate full days during summer weeks. Please indicate your availability while applying.
- Even though this is a summer camp position, candidates who are flexible and available year-around to also work as after school program will be given preference.
