Swagelok Rock Springs is hiring a full-time Warehouse/Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Specialist. In this position you will be responsible for all warehouse activities, servicing our VMI customers, and some order entry.

Position Summary
From a service perspective, this position is a part of a team that diligently works to provide total customer satisfaction through accurate handling of our inventory and processing of orders. In addition to working in the warehouse, pulling and packing orders, the associate will make customer deliveries to accurately maintain agreed upon stocking levels of our inventory located at our customers’ location. Your role as a VMI specialist will include fostering good customer relationships and updating the appropriate salesperson with any new information.
Key Responsibilities
- Pull, pack and ship orders, or deliver when required
- Maintain inventory located at our customers’ facility (VMI)
- Receive in incoming inventory via FedEx, UPS, trucks, etc.
- Cycle counts each week
- Continuously update your product knowledge via our training program
- Cross training where needed to ensure our customers receive the highest quality service
Position Requirements
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, dependable, and have good verbal, listening and written communication skills and pay attention to details. This position will require you to learn about industrial valves and fittings and their uses. *Note: Heavy lifting (50-60 lbs) will occasionally be required to complete the warehouse tasks.
- This position requires a valid driver’s license with a good driving record. Vehicle will be provided to make VMI deliveries.
- Previous experience working in a warehouse, shipping and receiving, or knowledge of industrial valves and fittings preferred.
- This position requires flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to understand technically challenging material.
- Above average computer skills required and proficiency with Microsoft Office software, UPS Worldship and FedEx online, as well as the ability to learn custom software programs and common office equipment operation.
