2nd Shift Entry-Level IT Technician

The successful candidate will work with IT Personnel on new projects, repairs, and upgrades to serve a growing demand for integration. This person will also provide hands-on tech support for all sites on campus.

Summary of Major Job Duties and Responsibilities

Effectively pulling, terminating, and testing Cat5/6 network cable

Configuring, and installing/replacing wireless access points, security cameras, servers, and other relevant hardware.

Daily review and email of audit reports to IT team.

Monitor and report on all Network Traffic, confirm critical equipment status.

Ability to use hand tools in safe and responsible manner.

Document and validate checklists.

Must be able to follow specific instructions.

Essential Functions Necessary to Perform Job Duties

Able to hear, see and speak.

Able to speak, read and write. (English/Bi-Lingual)

Ability to work comfortably at heights (up to 50 feet) and cold/hot temperatures (0 to

100 degrees).

Able to sit and/or stand for long/short periods.

Able to maintain dependable work attendance and flexibility with assigned work schedules

including any required evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Able to tolerate a fast-paced environment.

• Able to report to work without being under the influence of drugs or smelling of alcohol.

Required Experience:

Education and Experience Requirements:

Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.

Must possess valid Tennessee driver's license.

Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Must be a citizen of the United States.

Minimum 2 years IT technical training.

CompTIA A Certified.
