Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide medication administration as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
- Support individuals with developmental disabilities and autism by implementing personalized care plans.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
- Perform heavy lifting when necessary to assist clients with mobility or transfers.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring all areas are tidy and free from hazards.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding care needs and progress.
- Document daily activities and any changes in client condition accurately.
Skills
- Experience in home health care or community care settings is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities, including autism and developmental disabilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Competence in medication administration and understanding of health-related protocols.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs.
