Estimator’s Responsibilities:
- Comprehensively analyze plans, specifications, proposals and additional documentation to prepare bid estimates for projects
- Prepare high-level take-offs where applicable & estimate costs by looking at the entire project
- Input estimated values using cloud based software to generate detailed proposals
- Present cost analysis to Management
- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, take offs, and project specifications
- Prepare cost monitoring and reporting system
- Input values to job-costing cloud-based software
- Maintaining a directory of suppliers and trade contractors
- Collaborating with internal team, engineers, architects, owners and contractors
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years of estimating experience (does not have to be in the paving/ concrete industries)
- Proficiency in MS Office programs, specifically Excel, & Google platforms
- Highly skilled in computer programs and software
- Familiar with industry software (i.e. Near Map, Blue Beam)
- Strong analytical and math skills
- Background in construction, civil engineering, and/or mathematics preferred
- Extremely detailed oriented
- Self-disciplined with the ability to work independently as well as ability to collaborate with a team
- Deep knowledge of how processes work
- Ability to cultivate and develop relationships with industry partners
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and motor vehicle drivers abstract

Salary : $75,000 - $110,000
