Estimator’s Responsibilities:

• Comprehensively analyze plans, specifications, proposals and additional documentation to prepare bid estimates for projects
• Prepare high-level take-offs where applicable & estimate costs by looking at the entire project
• Input estimated values using cloud based software to generate detailed proposals
• Present cost analysis to Management
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, take offs, and project specifications
• Prepare cost monitoring and reporting system
• Input values to job-costing cloud-based software
• Maintaining a directory of suppliers and trade contractors
• Collaborating with internal team, engineers, architects, owners and contractors
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years of estimating experience (does not have to be in the paving/ concrete industries)
• Proficiency in MS Office programs, specifically Excel, & Google platforms
• Highly skilled in computer programs and software
• Familiar with industry software (i.e. Near Map, Blue Beam)
• Strong analytical and math skills
• Background in construction, civil engineering, and/or mathematics preferred
• Extremely detailed oriented
• Self-disciplined with the ability to work independently as well as ability to collaborate with a team
• Deep knowledge of how processes work
• Ability to cultivate and develop relationships with industry partners
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and motor vehicle drivers abstract

***This is NOT a Hybrid position. Our office is located in Flemington, NJ***.

Cold Calling, Cultivating customer relationships, Sales, and Customer Service preferred, but not required. These attributes would allow for additional earnings potential.

Pay Range $64,000 - $85,000

Senior Estimator requiring little to no training, highly efficient, with extensive experience could start at $110,000

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $64,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
