Location : Forward Family Services - Fresno & Clovis, CAReports To : Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) SupervisorEmployment Type : Full-Time / Part-Time (Hybrid & Telehealth Available)Position SummaryAt Forward Family Services, we empower individuals and families to overcome challenges and reach their full potential. We provide highly effective, personalized treatment through direct and indirect observation, fostering success and satisfaction.The AMFT / APCC, under LMFT supervision, will conduct psychotherapy sessions, including individual, family, couple therapy, and mental health conditions. This role involves clinical documentation, participation in supervision, and ongoing professional development.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain a caseload of assigned clients, providing psychotherapy and counseling services : Full-Time : Caseload of 40, scheduled for 35 sessions per week, with a billable expectation of completing 25 sessions. Part-Time : Caseload of 25, scheduled for 25 sessions per week, with a billable expectation of completing 15 sessions. Conduct comprehensive assessments, mental health screenings, and risk assessments.Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients as reviewed by the Clinical supervisor.Facilitate individual therapy, family therapy, couples counseling, psychoeducation.Maintain detailed and timely clinical documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR), adhering to all ethical and regulatory standards.Engage in crisis intervention, risk assessment, and coordination of care as needed.Attend and actively contribute to weekly supervision meetings (individual, group, or triadic) as required by the BBS.Provide psychoeducation to clients and families regarding mental health conditions, diagnoses, and referral sources.Ensure compliance with all clinical and ethical guidelines established by the BBS, CAMFT, AAMFT CALPCC and CPH Liability and Forward Family Services policies.Maintain professional boundaries and therapeutic relationships with clients, families.Adhere to federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including HIPAA, DHCS requirements, and The Joint Commission standards.Stay informed about best practices in psychotherapy and stay up to date on Psychotherapy services that pertain to the MFT scope of practice, CEUs, Registration, and L&E updates / changes. Requirements QualificationsEducation & Licensure : Must be registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as an AMFT or APCC. Passed the BBS Law and Ethics Exam or can provide proof of attempts, or provide exemption. Must obtain and maintain professional liability insurance. Preferred Experience : Experience working in mental health settings, diagnosing, and creating treatment plans. Experience conducting assessments, bio-psycho-social evaluations, mental status exams, and screenings. Preferred Certifications : Current CPR and First Aid Certification. Current TB skin test and health screen report. Additional Requirements : Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Proficiency in documentation and EHR systems. Strong communication, organization, and crisis management skills. Competencies & Core AbilitiesClinical Knowledge : Understanding of mental health disorder, co-occurring conditions and dual diagnosis. Familiarity with community resources, treatment referrals, and crisis intervention strategies. Therapeutic Skills : Ability to facilitate psychotherapy sessions (individual, couples, and family therapy). Skilled in developing treatment plans based on client needs. Competency in utilizing evidence-based interventions. Ethical & Professional Conduct : Commitment to adhering to CAMFT, AAMFT CALPCC and BBS ethical codes. Ability to take direction from clinical supervisors and engage in professional development. Collaboration & Teamwork : Works effectively within a team-based environment. Attends and participates in supervision, training, and team meetings. Supervision & TrainingAssociates : Receive 2 hours of individual, Triad or group supervision per week.(on-site for training, telehealth for sessions).Associates : Receive 2 additional hours of onsite professional development training weekly that support BBS requirements.
