Job Summary
The Facilities Maintenance position is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and functionality of building facilities throughout Swan Lake Resort. This includes performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, performing preventative maintenance inspections, and coordinating with outside contractors when directed.
Key Responsibilities
o Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, and fixing leaks.
o Troubleshoot and repair problems with building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
o Coordinate with external contractors for repairs and maintenance outside of scope of work when directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
o Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies as needed for routine maintenance tasks.
o Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of building facilities by performing tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
o Monitor building security systems and respond to any alarms.
o Communicate with affected Swan Lake staff, guests and management regarding maintenance and repair needs.
o Respond timely to all after hours emergencies and required work orders when on-call.
o Follows orders and direction as provided by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Qualifications and Skills
o Prior experience in facilities maintenance or related field preferred.
o Strong knowledge of building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
o Ability to troubleshoot and repair problems independently.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
o Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
o Ability to operate and maintain equipment needed for routine maintenance tasks.
o Physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects and perform tasks such as climbing ladders.
