Position Summary :

Swank Construction Company, LLC is seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a General Laborer for our Building Trades division. This position is an essential part of our crew, performing a variety of manual tasks to support various construction activities. This is a physically demanding job that requires a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work as part of a team. Essential Functions & Responsibilities :

Successful candidates will be able to perform the following essential functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Ability to perform physical labor activities which includes, but is not limited to, lifting, pulling, pushing, and / or carrying different types of objects / materials.

Perform laborer tasks, which include, flat sawing, core drilling, wall / wire sawing, and general concrete demolition.

Caring for company equipment / machines / tools.

Keeps job site clean of all unused / waste materials and ensures all equipment is stored in a safe and secure manner.

Ability to use or learn how to use different hand and power tools.

Ensure the practice of safety standards in accordance with company policies and OSHA.

Willingness to perform and learn different aspects of the Laborer position.

Perform all other tasks and follow instructions as directed by supervisors.

Will frequently be exposed to risk of accident and / or unpleasant elements (e.g., extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, loud noises, heights, uneven work surfaces, and hazardous substances).

Will occasionally be required to lift, push, pull, and carry heavy items and materials.

Ability to stand, sit, walk, climb, bend, stoop, kneel, and crawl for extended periods or when needed.

Ability to effectively communicate in, and understand, English.

Required to utilize personal protective equipment (e.g., hard hat, safety glasses & boots) at appropriate times.

Workdays & Shifts :

Must be available to work varied shifts (days, nights, weekends).

Willingness to travel.

Education / Certifications / Licenses :

High school diploma or equivalent- Preferred.

Valid driver's license - Preferred.

Experience & Knowledge :

Prior experience working as a laborer or equivalent experience - Preferred.

Mechanical aptitude - Preferred.

Other Requirements :

Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older.

Ability to pass pre-employment drug screens & background checks, including MVR.

Must be in a union or be willing to join a union.
