Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Desktop Engineer to oversee our desktop support team and ensure the efficient operation of our desktop environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, leadership abilities, and a passion for providing top-notch support to our users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the desktop support team, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Design, implement, and maintain desktop infrastructure, including hardware, software, and operating systems.
- Oversee the deployment of desktop systems and applications, ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex desktop-related issues for end-users.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate desktop solutions with existing systems and networks.
- Manage inventory and procurement of desktop equipment and software licenses.
- Develop and maintain documentation for desktop processes and procedures.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements.
- Ensure the security and compliance of desktop environments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in desktop engineering or support, with 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, as well as desktop virtualization technologies.
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and remote management tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A , ITIL, Microsoft Certified) are a plus.
